Walk or cycle in the surroundings

Feel the peace and quiet. Walk or cycle for miles and follow the small roads, tracks and paths. Visit the old villages and churches, and stop to look at splendid views. Le Vigneron holiday cottage is located in Change, a small and quiet village in Hautes-Côtes de Beaune (250 inhabitants), in the south of Nolay (3 km away). The landscape is a unique blend of vineyards, meadows and fields. The « Voie verte » (Green Lane) is 300 m away: it is a new road reserved to only walking and cycling from Nolay to Santenay. Go to Marcheseuil which is a Change’s extension (on the opposite hill) and walk along the upper vineyards. You will have a magnificent view, especially in the late afternoon and early evening. Importantly, all the surrounding landscape is strictly protected by the state or « Natura 2000 ». You have a lot of close tracks and roads for walking or cycling (it is sometimes stiff climb!).
